C402R : Mutation rate in yeast

Haploid Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains with the pol2-C417R mutation mimicking human POLE-C402R are inviable unless the wild-type POL2 allele is also present. Heterozygous POL2/pol2-C417R diploids are viable and have no mutator phenotype.
